Restore your overhead sunglass holder with a permanent fix — not another fragile factory-style replacement.
The original Porsche button uses a weak 3-piece clip design that commonly breaks over time. Once the mounting tabs fail, the plastic button cover falls off and you’re left pressing the exposed metal spring just to open the compartment.
This redesigned replacement solves that problem by mounting directly to the internal console structure using screws — creating a secure, long-lasting repair that won’t detach again.

🔧 Why the OEM Button Fails
The factory latch consists of:
• a plastic button cover
• a metal spring mechanism
• a thin plastic mounting interface inside the console
When that internal plastic interface breaks, the button cannot be reattached — and Porsche expects you to replace the entire overhead console assembly.
This upgraded version eliminates that failure point entirely.

Instead of clipping onto fragile plastic tabs like the original part, this improved latch:
